What is 3D rendering?
3D rendering is done with the help of specialized software like Revit, Sketchup or Blender. Using one or a combination of these pieces of software, I create a three-dimensional model of an object, and then use that model to create images of what is only dreamed of!
How long does it take to create a 3D rendering?
It depends on how much detail is required in the final image. The more detail required, affects how much detail is required in the model itself.
A simple render with limited detailing might take a day, the more complex with post processing might take a couple of weeks with back and forth communication.
Think of how Ikea furniture is often incredibly simple straight lines and flat surfaces, in comparison look at hand crafted wooden furniture. If you’re only working with flat, straight lines and minimal detail it’s a quick build whether in reality or virtually.
Comparatively, hand crafted custom wooden furniture takes time and skill to build well. If you want quick results, you have flat images. If you want more realism, it takes time and skill to create beauty.
Accessibility? How in the world does that apply here?
As the wife of a disabled Veteran who is also a wheelchair user, I’ve become pretty attuned to the inaccessibility of our built environment. To the limit of energy and how 8 hours for one person looks different for another, and energy levels can vary by the day or hour.
Barrier free does not mean ugly. It isn’t institutional. It’s life. I want to celebrate a barrier free design as much as I can, to make it clear that you don’t need to feel like you’re in a hospital when you have a higher support need. Nor does this mean it is expensive, there are creative solutions that require a little ‘out of the box’ thinking.
Accessible doesn’t mean it has to look “accessible”.
I have weird knowledge, a background that is relatively uncommon and a drive to make the world easier for everyone to enjoy.

First things first: I am not able to assist with accessing, or confirming funding is available. I am happy to help you with identifying funding options or connecting with other wonderful companies that are out there!

I am here as a resource to work with you to identify solutions to make your home and/or workspace better suited to your needs. I can provide drawings, review the space against current CSA standards and problem solve with you.
